Lancia Fulvia repair manual

Lancia Fulvia

The Lancia Fulvia (Tipo 818) is an Italian car introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963 by Lancia and produced until 1976. It was named after Fulvia Flacca Bambula, an aristocratic Roman woman and wife of Mark Antony. Fulvias are notable for their role in motorsport history, including winning the International Rally Championship in 1972. The Fulvia was available in three variants: 'Berlina' (4 door saloon) 'Coupé' and 'Sport' (an alternative fastback coupé designed and built by Zagato on the Coupé floorpan). One element that was new was the narrow-angle V4 engine.

Lancia Fulvia FAQ's

How do I check the engine oil level in a Lancia Fulvia?

To check the engine oil level in a Lancia Fulvia, start by parking the car on a level surface and turning off the engine. Open the hood and locate the dipstick, usually marked with a bright-colored handle. Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean with a cloth, reinsert it fully, and then pull it out again. The oil level should be between the minimum and maximum marks on the dipstick. If it's low, add the recommended oil type gradually and recheck the level until it reaches the desired range.

How often should I replace the spark plugs in a Lancia Fulvia?

The spark plugs in a Lancia Fulvia should be replaced according to the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule, which is typically around every 30,000 to 50,000 miles. However, factors such as driving conditions and the type of spark plugs used can influence their lifespan. It's important to regularly inspect the spark plugs for signs of wear, such as excessive carbon buildup or worn electrodes. If any abnormalities are found, it's advisable to replace the spark plugs earlier than the recommended interval to maintain optimal engine performance.

What are the recommended tire pressures for a Lancia Fulvia?

The recommended tire pressures for a Lancia Fulvia can vary depending on factors such as load and driving conditions. However, a general guideline is to maintain a tire pressure of around 32 PSI (pounds per square inch) for the front tires and 30 PSI for the rear tires. It's important to regularly check and adjust the tire pressures, ensuring they are within the manufacturer's recommended range, as incorrect tire pressures can affect the vehicle's handling, fuel efficiency, and tire wear.
