Nissan Altima repair manual

Nissan Altima

The Nissan Altima is a mid-size car manufactured by Nissan, and is a continuation of the Nissan Bluebird line, which began in 1957. It is the #1 selling Nissan model. It has historically been larger, more powerful, and more luxurious than the Nissan Sentra but less so than the Nissan Maxima. The Altima is exclusively manufactured in the United States and officially sold in North and South America, along with the Middle East and Australia. All Altima models used Nissan's 150 hp (112 kW) KA24DE straight-4 DOHC engine mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic (Acceleration performance: 9.4 seconds 0-60 mph (100 km/h) with automatic and 8.4 with manual).

How do I jump-start a Nissan Altima?

To jump-start a Nissan Altima, you will need a set of jumper cables and another vehicle with a charged battery. Park the assisting vehicle close to the Altima, ensuring the two batteries are within reach of the jumper cables. Connect one end of the positive (red) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery in the Altima, then connect the other end of the positive jumper cable to the positive terminal of the assisting vehicle's battery. Follow the same procedure for the negative (black) jumper cable, connecting it to the negative terminal of the assisting vehicle's battery and then to a metal surface on the Altima, away from the battery. Start the assisting vehicle and let it run for a few minutes, then start the Altima. Once the Altima starts, remove the jumper cables in the reverse order of connection.
